Hello, I'm Lunellum. You don't really need to know that much about me, and I prefer not to put too much identifying info out here. That said, some relevant bits: female-adjacent, queer, married with two cats.

I'm into sci fi/fantasy/horror books, shows, games, etc. Like the stereotypical gay nerd, I play D&D. I'm also into medieval shit, ask me if you wanna know my pet peeves and/or annoying opinions about medievalism.

• The Adventure Zone: Balance what can I say, love to be unexpectedly smacked with feels
• Lord of the Rings it'sa classic, I grew up with it. I could write whole essays about it, and maybe one day I will.
• Murderbot diaries it's honestly concerning how much I relate to Murderbot.
• Dungeon Meshi my latest blorbo. Yes, the whole thing is my blorbo.

Books I like

• The Imperial Radch trilogy I like the worldbuilding, the gender fuckery, the dramatic space opera-ness, and most of all the questions of personhood and personal rights
• The Murderbot series oh god I am so obsessed with Murderbot. Number one comfort read. Don't ask why I relate so hard to a person being unable to People or Emotion. Yes, robots/ai/androids/other non or not quite humans being people is kind of a theme for me
• The Discworld books An old favourite, especially Monstrous Regiment and some of the Guards ones
• The Locked Tomb books I am not immune to morbid space gays and terrible dad jokes
• The Cemetaries of Amalo books I am also not immune to sad, traumatised, gay boys (gender neutral, age neutral). That's another theme, in fact
• Dungeon Meshi So this is my latest obsession. It reels you in with the quirky dungeoneering food porn, and then turns around and delivers unexpectedly poignant pain.

Currently reading

• Some Desperate Glory(Emily Tesh) only just started, blurb tbd
• The Outside This one... I enjoy it well enough but I'm having such a hard time actually sitting down and reading it. I don't know why.

Shows I like

• What we do in the shadows Vampires but dumb as bricks, gotta love it
• Interview with the vampire The vampires are still done as bricks but this time much more tragic
• Dungeon meshi Dungeon crawling but with cooking! And surprising emotional gut punches! Ouch!
• Cowboy Bebop This one was very formative. If you can guess my fave, I'll give you a cookie
• Revolutionary girl Utena So yeah it's an acid trip but also I could talk for a long time about the Themes. One of which is that I'm a car now,too.

Podcasts I like

• The Adventure Zone: Balance Okay, look, listen. This show and its fandom have given me some of the most intense feelings, the closest relationships and the most creative impulses. Now that you know how obsessed I am, what is TAZ actually? It's just three chucklefucks making stupid jokes as they play D&D and then stumbling ass-first into some of the most heart-felt, poignant, hopeful storytelling. Also dick jokes.
• The Magnus Archives gimme that creeping horror, baby. Really enjoying the new season too.
• Sawbones as for soemthing non-fiction: history, science, and morbid fascinations. Check, check and check.
• Maintenance phase important information and both funny and depressing, often at the same time.
